Elegant restaurant on the beach with the magnificent dome of the dome of the Chiesa Madre as a backdrop and beautiful sea view, is the best choice for families with children.
Dating back to the early 1900’s, Buca di Bacco is one of the oldest establishments in Positano. When Buca di Bacco first opened its doors to visitors travelling along the Amalfi Coast, it was in the form of simple tavern in which to enjoy delicious local food and wine.
A favorite port of call for the intellectuals and artists who “discovered” Positano at the start of the 20th century, over the decades Buca di Bacco was gradually enlarged so as to provide not only excellent food but charming accommodation too.
Antique writing desks, sweeping drapes, floors laid with the colorful, hand-painted majolica tiles from Vietri, bathrooms in precious marble and glorious sun-kissed terraces: Hotel Buca di Bacco’s rooms recall the classic Mediterranean elegance of the area’s most luxurious coastal villas, combined with the technology and services of Grand Hotel.
The food prepared by Anna (ably assisted by her niece, Carla) is just as delicious as that once prepared by her grandparents: traditional dishes, made with only the very freshest, locally sourced ingredients, to be accompanied by a glass or two of Bacchus’s favorite beverage.
